Appeals can take months unless resolved quickly, Barr said.
Despite the victory for Trump’s legal team, Barr said the “fundamental momentum of the case” remained. The government “has very solid evidence” to determine whether to press charges, including whether classified information was improperly processed and handled after Trump’s departure, Barr added.
Trump denies mishandling government documents towards the end of his presidency, calling the search politically motivated.
